Teaching on Romans Road

Romans Road or Road to Romans are the teaching based on the book of Romans. There are many verse within this that can be taken up as a path to be followed to get salvation. I specially like this for the simplicity, although Bible is a simple book to read and understand if we have faith on the words... especially the following verses which will be highlighted as part of the Road to Romans or Romans Road.

Very simple yet powerful verses... Following 3 verses helps us summarize what the Book of Romans is trying to say to us about our life, what we are and the salvation.. how to get it.

The first step in the "Romans Road" or "Road to Romans"
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God... [Romans 3:23]

In Christ, we are a New Creation

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have gone the new has come
[2Corinthians 5:17]

New always has a value over old and usually more cares and pampered. This is a normal human nature towards new. Secondly all new stuff looks more fresh and renewed, more clean and approachable. When we expect anything new we go for a physical verification or confirmation. This physical confirmation is based on our 5 senses, which again is a human nature as we are made to feel and experience through our senses. This nature will in turn avoid us from experiencing things which are new but cannot be experiences by our physical senses.

One example is happiness, we cannot experience happiness through any of our senses... its a change that we feel within us yet with no physical verification. The result of acknowledging this new in us will help us change our attitude towards a situation. If we are sorrow and dull in life which again cannot be verified by our senses can result in our physical nature changed to a negative aspect.

Walk with the faith...Your Good Shephard is with you

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
[Psalm 23:4]
Chapter 23 from the book of Psalm, entirely talks about God and his grace, support, protection, and safety around us. Especially the verse in context talk about the presence of God with us in every place we plan to travel, and that he will be our safety and protector. There are two reference that is highlighted here in this verse. These are "valley of shadow of death" and "your rod and your staff". Lets see these two reference in detail to understand the verse in context.

According to the Bible History, two of the most important tools of a Shepherd were the rod and staff. The rod was a stick about a meter long with a knob on one end.

Do you believe in Miracles?

Miracle as defined in the dictionaries is "A surprising and welcome event that is not understood by natural or scientific laws and is considered to be divine."

If we recollect the miracles performed by our Lord, those were all beyond the understanding of the people at that time. Nobody will have every expected the plain ordinary water to change to wine, making the crowd of 5000+ with 5 loaf of bread and 2 fish. Nobody will ever believe that someone can walk through water and control nature through his words... All these happened not in a span of time, but it was a immediate. This was done by no one else, but by the Lord who made us and given life into us. This is the same Lord who has provided all that we have now. None of those that we claim to posses is ours, but that provided by him to us.
